A Unique School Experience
The Children's Coalition of Galveston is a not-for-profit parent co-op and pre-school. Founded by working parents and passionate teachers for Galveston's children and families, ChilCo seeks to create a place where children thrive, explore, and play in a safe and nurturing environment. The school is governed by a board of directors comprised of parents, teachers, and the program's director.
Children's Coalition of Galveston offers:
Quality full-time childcare services for children ages 6 weeks to Pre-K 4 as well as an after-school and holiday-care program.
Whole-child, play-based curriculum for infants through Pre-Kindergarten
Low child-to-staff ratios
Experienced, professional classroom teachers with very low turn-over
Convenient school hours Monday-Friday 6:30 am-6:00 pm, 50 weeks a year
Plenty of structured and unstructured play inside the classrooms as well as in our outdoor play area.
Children may start before they are toilet trained, and they are supported throughout this developmental process.
As a non-profit cooperative, fundraising is a part of our existence. We appreciate any donations.
