Miss Victoria Foley

Teacher – Caterpillar Room

“I have worked with children for 7 years, and I have been at ChilCo for 5 years. I am currently enrolled in school at the University of Houston at Clear Lake working towards my bachelors in Early Childhood. I have always enjoyed working with children. They always put a smile on my face. It has been amazing to watch them grow, and boy do they grow fast! I recently became engaged to my boyfriend of seven years! We have a handsome red-headed little boy named Kase, (who most of you may know) and is currently in the Caterpillar class. I come from a large family and I love spending time with my family. They are very important to me! And so is shopping of course! Shopping is my favorite hobby. I also enjoy music of all kind, listening to music and just relaxing and enjoying life!”

Miss Jordan Pickney

Teacher – Bumble Bee Room

“Hello, my name is Jordan Pickney. I have been working with children since the age of fifteen. I would help my little brother and sisters with their homework, and babysit for neighbors all the time. I am currently a sophomore at Galveston College and am working towards my certificate in Early Childhood Development. I enjoy working with children for several reasons. Going in to work and getting hugs and smiles, teaching the children something new every day, hearing them talk and laugh with others, and the most heartwarming moment when a child says, ‘I love you Miss Jordan’. That is when I realize that one person can change a child’s life. I have been working at Children’s Coalition for ten months now and I have absolutely learned a lot! I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a HUGE family and a small group of friends. I spend most of my time at school, at work, or with my boyfriend. I adore occupying my time with others. I like to walk on the beach, go out to eat, and have family gatherings. I dislike rats, spiders, and pretty much anything that crawls!”

Miss Syann Alvarado

Teacher – Floater

“I am 17 years old. I have been working at Children’s Coalition for just over a month now. I am attending high school and upon graduation, plan to attend the nursing program at Galveston College. My hobbies include: doing makeup, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. What I like most about my job is seeing how happy or proud the parents are when they see that their son or daughter has learned something new. No two kids are just alike and that’s another aspect of working with children that I like. Every child is different so it helps to expand your mind and abilities, learning how to handle different situations with each child. My goal at the Children’s Coalition is to let every child know that anything is possible and there is nothing they can’t do!

I am currently working on obtaining my Director’s License and completing over (BLANK) hours in early childhood and business management courses. I love to work with children because I love to watch them grow. I will complete my 7th year at ChilCo in November 2016. I am married and have two children, Drew (7) and Kinlie (3), who all keep me busy 100% of the time!
